On 18 April 2012 our former associate

Mr. Josef Gottfried

deceased at the age of 88 years.

Mr. Gottfried was the co-founder of our company and managing partner until he left GOK in 1992. 

He has always shown a lot of engagement and was a person who contributed with his ideas to the formation of our company. Also after he left the company, he was still interested in the GOK business activities.

He enjoyed a very high esteem in our company, and we will keep him in best memory.

We are expressing our sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.

For several years already, the company GOK pursues the philosophy to actively support own employees with a pro-
fessional training programme. “We know the potential of our employees and the future’s challenges to qualified persons and executives”, says Gerald Unger, GOK Managing Director. “Especially in view of the predicted skills shortage we see the investments in the training of our employees as a building block to provide security to the company.”

The company’s involvement and the employees’ readiness to continue their education in addition to their daily work routine has now been rewarded. The best graduates of the 2011 exams for further education of the Chamber of Commerce
and Industry were honoured in Schweinfurt / Germany on
23rd March 2012.

For her exceptional performance in the qualification as certified personnel expert, Ms. Claudia Schmidt was given the master award by Ms. Katja Hessel, Undersecretary of State of the Bavarian Ministry of Economics.

Construction, operational requirements and shutdown of fuel oil consumer installations (TRwS - Technical Rule for Substances Harmful to Water).

The results of the discussion of comments on the draft of the Technical Rule for Substances Harmful to Water TRwS 791-1 of DWA (German Association for Water) dated September 2011 are now available. Specified and new facts are given under the title "Errichtung, betriebliche Anforderungen und Stilllegung von Heizölverbraucheranlagen" (construction, operational requirements and shutdown of fuel oil consumer installations) for implementing the projected Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Substances Harmful to Water (VAUwS).

As from 13 February 2012 Mr. Andreas Brohm was named new Technical Manager and was also given procuration.

Mr. Brohm is a graduate engineer (UAS) and started to work with GOK in 1994.

Certification according to ISO 9001, technical sales activities, gas product management and his work in different national and international standardization committees are part of his career.
